FAQ

Questions we hear often.

What electrical supply does the Bora 7 need?

A single-phase supply at 32 A. The Bora 7 delivers its rated 7.4 kW without a three-phase connection.

Should I choose the Bora 7 or the Bora 11?

Both share the same platform, enclosure and dimensions. The Bora 7 runs on a single-phase supply at 32 A for 7.4 kW; the Bora 11 needs a three-phase supply at 16 A per phase for 11 kW. If your home has only a single-phase connection, choose the Bora 7.

Which electric cars can I charge?

Bora chargers use a fixed 5 m Type 2 cable, the standard AC connector in Europe and many other markets. Vehicles with a Type 2 inlet can connect directly. The actual charging power also depends on the on-board charger of the car.

Can it be installed outdoors?

Yes. The enclosure is IP55 rated for indoor and outdoor installation, ABS with UL94 V-0 flame rating, and operates from -15 °C to +70 °C.

How is charging authorized?

Choose app, RFID card or free charging. The charger connects through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for setup and control from a phone.

What is 6 mA DC leakage detection?

The charger has built-in detection of DC residual current of 6 mA, a protection function for AC EV charging. Your installer defines the rest of the protection in the electrical installation according to local regulations.

Who should install the charger?

A qualified electrician, following local electrical regulations. We can share the technical documentation needed for the installation.

Which options are available?

OCPP 1.6J, an internal energy meter, configurable home load balancing, a 4G modem and a screen, depending on the ordered configuration.

How much does the Bora 7 cost?

From USD 180. The final price depends on the configuration and quantity; request a quote for your project.
